As a Solution designer it is important to analyze both functional (use cases) and non-functional requirements of the customer. You open up the dialogue with Business analysts and architects to verify what options there are to provide a solution within the standards and products available within Fluvius. I take part in the creation of the Project Initiation Document (PID) according to Prince² principles. I create designs that contain both infrastructure, security and service delivery processes and search for possibilities to improve services to the customer. As solution designer you are the main contact for project related questions from both the customer/business as well as the ICT teams and 3rd parties involved.

I continued my career for a new customer called Fluvius. The domain that Fluvius is active in is also the Energy market. It's a great new challenge with nice opportunities and a new environment to work in. As Architect my goal is to align business processes with technical opportunities to provide the best possible solution. Translating business requirements into technical solutions is always a challenge and that is what keeps me focused, up-to-date and evolving. It is in my interest to keep my technical skills as wide as possible, integrating with the different engineering teams to discuss at the lower technical level to come up with the correct understanding of the solution. It's also important to expand my horizon and discuss opportunities and requirements at the higher level with business and process teams to be able to translate the technical solution to the market. As of October 1st 2012, I started working as a System Engineer for Cegeka NV. It's a new start of a challenging road ahead...Worked for a year on a project to migrate the IT infrastructure for DELTA and DNWB from Atos datacenter to Cegeka's Datacenter. In the weekend of September 27th 2013 the migration took place and everything went smootly.Currently still working on some aftercare resolving some minor leftovers after the migration.

As parent association @SFC we participate in the vision and operations of the school. We discuss on a monthly base several hot items regarding the school, education and student activities. It's a great way to get to know the school, the principles, the overall educational system, etc... It's also being part of your children's growing proces. Listen to your children and take the important topics back too school to discuss and find a way to improve. As chairman I am in close contact with the school principle and we keep an open communication with each other. As chairman of the parent association I also participate in the school council together with other parents, students, teachers, staff and community.
