I acquired my father's accounting firm in 2004 and am now acting as managing partner.My master’s degree in Commercial Sciences (EHSAL-Brussels-1998), complemented by a Master in Business Administration, Intl. Business (JWU-Providence, RI, USA-1999) and a master’ s degree in Accounting (Vlekho-Brussels-2003) paved the way to my accreditation as a CPA/tax counsellor in 2004.Before acquiring the accounting firm from my father, I worked for 5 years in a mid-sized accounting firm.I am active in the UNIZO chapter of Heist-op-den-Berg, providing lobby-work for SME's in the region. I also enjoy giving lectures from time to time. These range from (mostly) fiscal or accounting studies to general management themes.I see a big challenge for me as an accountant in trying to let SME's benefit from accounting theories usually only applied in larger companies. It is my belief that SME's don't need to visit large accounting firms in order to get good accounting assistance, aimed at improving their financial management.Hobbies of mine include some running, skiing, reading and hiking.Specialties: financial reporting, reporting tools, scorecarding, KPI, corporate governance, tax law, management consulting, networking, open for good business ideas
