Initially started as DAtaBAse CONsulting:- day to day DBA tasks;- database infrastructure architecture together with presales tasks;- installation, configuration, upgrade, patching and migration tasks of the database, Oracle VM or Oracle Linux;- people management (coaching & managing a team).Dabacon has evolved to Digital Acceleration & Business Administration Consultancy:- People Management- Company strategy- Innovative solutions- Technical architect, helping to think about how to solve certain technical problems

Started to build a new DBA team within Hestia as database teamleader performing following tasks:- Senior DBA with focus on the Oracle RDBMS, high availability, data protection and architecture- 2nd and 3rd line support for our database customers- Database projects: installation, configuration, patching and migration of existing or new environments- Interview and hire new DBA's (both Oracle and MSSQL)- Define yearly team strategy- Performance reviews of people- Technical coaching of the DBA's- Presales tasks for new projects and new support contracts- Facilitating innovation within the team, so new tools are developed internally or purchased at 3rd party vendors- ...Currently a database team with experienced Oracle DBA's and MSSQL DBA's exists to serve more than 100 database customers. Also started the Oracle cloud platform within Hestia to be able to host Oracle databases in the Cronos datacenter with optimized licensing costs. The database team has become independent into a new company called Monin Database Managed Services (a division of Hestia). As part of the DBA team, I was mainly responsible for the maintenance of the Oracle databases. Beside of that, also some MS SQL server administration needed to be done.Some of the projects/tasks performed:- Modified existing and created new ruby scripts to unload and load data out of the database. The historic data was kept on another place- Installed/configured and migrated several databases to a new dataguard setup- Data refreshes from PROD to DEV- Setup capacity mgmt (graphs) for the Oracle databases- Performance tuning

Being part of the middleware team, my main focus was to manage the Oracle databases of BT and the customers.Some of the projects/tasks performed:- Installing/configuring and migrating customer databases to a new RAC environment- Installing/configuring SnapManager for Oracle- Performance tuning- Data refreshes- DWH loads
