I am a Teaching Professor in International Security at the School of International Relations at Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo and an Associate Researcher at the Center for International Studies (ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon). I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Birmingham (UK), where I collaborated with the Institute for Conflict, Cooperation and Security (ICCS). My doctoral thesis examines the role of the security dilemma as an explanation for the emergence of violence in civil wars in Angola and Mozambique. I also hold a master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the New University of Lisbon (NOVA-FCSH) and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Previously, I contributed to Accenture, Oxford Analytica, the Naval War College (EGN), the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI), and the Institute for National Defense (IDN), among others.My interests include Research, International Relations, Politics, Foreign Policy, Policy Analysis, Human Rights, Risk Assessment, Crisis Management, National Security, Conflict Resolution, and Security.
