Born in Tunisia, 1998, and raised there, I had my Baccalaureate degree in mathematics then studied software engineering to become a graduate engineer, in September 2023.My starting point as a professional data specialist has started with a great opportunity, which is working with the Tunisian Financial Intelligence Unit as a data science intern for my graduation project, the team was epic and learned so much from them especially high officials of the central bank of Tunisia, it was inevitable to learn so much when you work with such cross-functional teams. The project was about cross-border transportation of cash in Tunisia, the organization had a system of records called "Hannibal" based on blockchain technology that tracks imported/exported cash through APIs connected to banks and government's institutions (ministry of interior, customs services, ..), making the data a very big asset. The goal was to create an AI model that predicts the percentage of money being imported but not seen in any record of exportation nor bank operations (have potential risk of entering in black market), the project required data analysis & deep business understanding, data cleansing, time series forecasting, data engineering and dashboarding.From there, I graduated with high honors (18/20), and continued my professional adventure with Zonexos team, a data solution enabler company. Choosed this company because of the opportunity to work with a big client such as Merck Group and using technologies from big cloud provider such as AWS. Managers believed in my ability to learn fast and to face client even though I had no experience in such role, but now, i'm glad to say that their beliefs actually came true, i'm a confident cloud data engineer at Zonexos and i love to collaborate with cross-functional teams around the globe and understand their points of pain and provide complete solutions that matches their needs.
