I am proactive in looking up on things that I have keen interest in such as photography and developments related to healthcare and technology. Today, the internet has made knowledge easily accessible, but to make use of that vast knowledge, distil it and create new knowledge/ solutions is more important. This is what keeps me engaged in the things that I pursue; looking for new ways to do things, experiment with different approaches. Challenges/ problems motivate me to search for a solution, think out of the box and more importantly whenever possible, to come up with a win-win situation when dealing with people. This is especially important in my scope of work (research collaborations) where negotiation/ engagement with external parties such as academic institutions and commercial partners is common. It is these small challenges that keep me engaged and motivated. My ethics, interpersonal and communication skills are well-sharpened through both work experience and daily interactions with individuals from different walks of life. I am also able to adapt quickly in new environments, possess the confidence and initiative to perform effectively alone even under pressure, whilst also thriving and leading in a team environment.
