Employed originally as a software/database/systems developer, I designed, developed and implemented ISEB’s core operational system to handle all customer data, exam registration, exam paper distribution, marking/certification, reporting and integration with financials.I managed ISEB’s IT systems on a day-to-day basis with responsibility for security, compliance, procurement of software/hardware and contracts/relationships with ISEB’s Managed Hosting/Service Providers.I was the DBA for ISEB’s Microsoft SQL Server DBMS. With 30 years’ exposure to MS SQL Server, I gained significant experience designing, developing, administering, migrating and maintaining MS SQL Server solutions.Over the years, my remit grew to encompass the management of the office and as Product Owner for ISEB’s first digital assessment. I also designed and understood all operational aspects of the customer journey and experience for ISEB’s various products.During the last two years at ISEB I was part of a core team to implement a new website and migrate ISEB’s outsourced publishing business back to an in-house eCommerce web store. I also worked with our tech/AI partner to scope, design, build, test and implement a completely new shared assessment for the UK’s top independent schools. This was delivered on-budget and on-time, garnering highly positive customer feedback and reviews.During recent years at ISEB, the company grew rapidly and my support functions adapted accordingly to accommodate new staff, new products, new infrastructure and entirely new ways of working.
