About Dri Wang Pharmd, Bcpp
I'm passionate about mental health. There are many challenges that remain in terms of access and delivery of healthcare for those affected by mental illness. Innovative solutions are then necessary to address some of these barriers. My previous role include work at a large, County outpatient behavioral health setting. I created a decision aid tools incorporating the concepts of shared decision making as one of my projects. The tools explained the risk and benefits associated with various antipsychotic medications. The primary goal of the tool is to empower patients to participate in selecting their own treatment, leading to increased engagement. The tool has been professionally replicated and is now widely distributed to psychiatric care providers throughout county. From 2010 to 2013, I created a system to track clients who are on psychiatric meds at high risk for metabolic dysfunction. The data allows prioritization of these high-risk patients for referrals to primary care physicians. As a result of this system, the pharmacy team was able to review over 1000 unique "high risk" clients via Medicaid claims and assisted in referring 43 clients to primary care.I am also experienced in comprehensive medication management and provide psychopharmacological recommendation to Alameda County's Crisis Response Program. I also served as lecturer and educator to pharmacy and graduate students, physicians, other licensed clinicians, patients and their family members.
Listed skills include Healthcare, Medicine, Pharmacy, Medication Therapy Management, and 21 others.
