Board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Jacob Bloom started Bloom Plastic Surgery in August of 2016 after spending several successful years in Chicago's North suburbs. Dr. Bloom, who was raised in Northbrook and is a graduate of Glenbrook North High School, is excited to bring his knowledge and expertise back to his city. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Dr. Bloom graduated at the top of his class from the Chicago Medical School and received a coveted Plastic Surgery Residency at the esteemed University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. Following his residency, Dr. Bloom continued his medical training in the area of hand surgery at a prestigious teaching hospital of the Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Bloom performs the full spectrum of surgical and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures with an emphasis on cosmetic face, breast and body work. His reconstructive practice is heavily focused on reconstruction after skin cancer removal surgeries of the head and neck.
