With over 25 years of experience in psychiatry, I am passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care to individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds. As the owner and clinician of Nevada Family Psychiatry, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for a variety of mental health concerns. I have a doctorate in health science and a strong interest in the evolving role that technology plays in transforming health outcomes and health delivery. I provide didactic education through the University of Lynchburg's Doctor of Medical Science program. I also serve as the national PA representative to the American Psychiatric Association (APA), where I collaborate with national and regional leaders on strengthening mental health policies, programs, and practices. I also participate in various APA committees and groups, bringing a PA perspective and expertise. Furthermore, I am a Delegate for Nevada to the American Academy of Physician Associates House of Delegates, where I coordinate national and state-level legislation and resources for PAs. CurrentThis is a teaching position in the distance learning Doctor of Medical Science program. I teach in the new concentration: behavioral medicine and addiction. I am currently remotely teaching Adult Behavioral Medicine 1 and Adult Behavioral Medicine 2 in this graduate program. I was involved in curriculum development before our initial Fall term started, and refinement of questions and research assignments is ongoing.
