I have spent the last decade as the Executive Secretary of the Subcommittee on the US Materials Genomes Initiative (MGI). In that role, I have worked to coordinate a cohesive cross-government effort supporting the mission of the MGI to accelerate the discovery, design, development and deployment of new materials at a fraction of the cost. I also have 30 years of research experience in the thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transitions, field theoretic techniques, computational modeling and programming.
