With a PH.D. in Psychology and over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, I had the tools to deal with any situation that arose - so I thought. Clients who came to me presented with issues such as aging, caregiver burnout, and grief. However, growing older, and my husband’s and death proved that I had more to learn. Two things became clear. 1. advice on websites was not always beneficial. Second, living the experience provides a very different perspective. 2. Based on my years as a caregiver, I wrote a book entitled “Aging Well - 30 Lessons for Making the Most of Your Later Years.” After my husband's death, I created a free newsletter Aging Well News. https://agingwell.news. In the last year and a half, I have written approximately 90 articles with tips that help older adults age well.The goal of the newsletter is to help others age well, despite their circumstances and to help you help your clients.
