A skilled and dynamic Director with over 25 years’ experience working in both the UK and UAE in senior positions. I have contributed to international standards for best practice in the UK as a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Intercollegiate Committee for Services for Children in Emergency Care Settings. Service improvements include the development of the first dedicated Children’s Emergency Department in the Southeast of England, for which I received the Pioneer of Care Award in 2014. This was subsequently followed by leading the opening of the first dedicated Children’s Emergency Department in Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in Dubai. An experienced healthcare leader, my focus is always to ensure the delivery of best care to patients; and my experience as a Clinical Advisor for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsmen (PHSO) and as a Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission in the UK have strengthen my ability to do so. My current position has operational responsibility for all Amana Healthcare services within Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai.
