Visiting Professor at Nottingham Business School. Previously combining research and teaching at University of Warwick. Course leader for the Master Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (no1 UK rated) and the MReS in Business Transformation at Warwick with 120+ students annually, many new businesses started or transformed. Supervised PhD students in diverse areas related to Business, Data, AI and IT. Worked on EU and UK research projects in the areas of Business Interoperability and Information management. Started career at GEC telecommunications on systems design and also through their sponsorship completed the EITB Fellowship in Manufacturing Managment at Cranfield University. Then spent several years in Factory Operations Managment before joining Plessey Research as a Senior Scientist working on Analogue Integrated Circuit design systems. Moved to the Rover Advanced Technology Centre as “IT and Organisational Strategy” Program Leader as a founder staff and set up a program of research and consultancy for the Centre. Research interest are in Ontology Generation, Industry 4.0, Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Innovation methods. The work done with the government of Tuvoli was awarded the Sunday Times Internet Innovation of the year in 2000 and now generates nearly 80% of its GDP. He has consulted for several governments, the World Bank and the Commonwealth secretariet on improving trade using E-Commerce to promote SME’s. Raised over £3m for the West Midlands Collaborative Commerce Marketplace project (www.ukccm.co.uk).
