While with Sekisui, I was responsible for managing our S&OP process globally. This role was heavily integrated in SAP and required an advanced use of excel and various software packages. My department was responsible for raw materials, customer forecasting/demand planning, scheduling production, inventory management and strategic business analysis.- Work with sales team and modeling to determine accurate customer forecasts - Plan production globally, all products, all plant locations- Manage global inventory in multiple warehouse locations- Forecasting for raw materials, product processing and financial outlook for rolling 12-month period

In the Global Technical Service Leader role, I created a service infrastructure for hundreds of direct customers. I had the amazing opportunity to travel to every continent to meet our customers in person, solve challenging technical problems and meet growth initiatives utilizing polyvinyl alcohol. From the ground up, I established tech service laboratories at our R&D facility and a team of specialized chemists to act as technical aids to our customers. Finally, I constructed a long term plan to globalize tech service. - Managed Global Technical Service program for Sekisui Specialty Chemicals including a of team specialized chemists and technicians.- Developed customer visit strategy, investigated quality complaints/root cause analysis and worked with quality manager to implement changes in manufacturing.- Managed projects to build specific applications testing laboratories. Worked to proactively analyze quality to maintain our competitive position.- Technically advised key accounts, maintained business and gained new customers through project development. Provided technical training for all new employees on polyvinyl alcohol.- Resolved technical issues with polymer chemistry including: solubility, crystallinity, interactions, viscosity, water resistance, etc.

As a research chemist, I developed a new polymer that is now the platform for significant growth and innovation for SSCA.

A research and development position focusing on the synthesis of polyvinyl alcohol and related polymers. Lab scale to pilot studies based on plant support, waste stream analysis and new product development. Knowledge set includes: radiacially initiated polymer synthesis, specifically synthesis of polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol and similar. Capable of full polymer characterization set and application area recommendations.

Independent research focusing on the use of polydiacetylene as an embedded sensor; specializing in conjugated polymers, solid-state polymerization and Raman spectroscopy.
