Dr. Jenson Mak provided consultation to hospital wards, outpatient clinics and home visits to middle aged and elderly clients on the Central Coast of NSW through the public (Gosford Hospital) and continued to provide this service in the private sector (Gosford Private Hospital), specializing in geriatric, orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, and was the Clinical Lead for the Rehabilitation Unit at Gosford Private Hospital between 2018-2020.Dr. Jenson Mak is also a Clinical Leader in research (has several research grants and scholarships for the REVITAHIP project, a multisite randomized controlled trial at the Royal North Shore, Mona Vale and Gosford Hospitals on the effectiveness of an initial booster dose of vitamin D followed by daily supplements on rehabilitation outcomes following hip fracture surgery) and completed his PhD(Med) thesis graduating with the University of Sydney.Specializing in orthogeriatrics, psychogeriatrics, bone health, osteoarthritis, degenerative neurological disorders, acute and chronic pain management in the middle aged and elderly.

Dr. Jenson Mak was an Outreach rehabilitation physician visiting the South Coast of NSW for inpatient consultation at 2 regional hospitals, to run 2 general rehabilitation clinics fortnightly as well as to lead an Aged Care Transitional Care Program.Dr. Jenson Mak was the Primary researcher in establishing a large randomized controlled trial evaluating the efficacy of an early rehabilitation approach following a motor vehicle accident (ROARI) project in return to work and pain levels.Dr. Jenson Mak provided supervision to several UNSW students in their thesis. One published in the Journal of Australasian Road Safety, and appearing in 'Drunks at high risk of being hit by cars.'
