Responsible for instructional planning, including, but not limited to, providing lessons plans and preparation for each assigned student in accordance with the objectives of the instructional program, Schoo District U-46's’ policies and procedures, Illinois Learning Standards, and state and federal law; administering tests and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating students’ language ability; assessing students’ progress, expectations, and goals in the bilingual program, developing and delivering lesson plans that utilize appropriate instructional techniques that enable limited English proficient students to overcome barriers that impede equal participation by these students in the district’s instructional programs; establishing positive learning expectation standards for students, and evaluating students’ progress and maintaining current and accurate records of students’ achievements; implementing instructional methods, including, but not limited to applying contemporary principles of learning theory and teaching methodology, drawing from the range of instructional materials available in the school, participating in the development and implementation of new teaching techniques, and providing bulletin board and interest areas reflective of students’ current work; exhibiting and applying knowledge of the curriculum content related to subject areas and instructional level.

• Web designer responsible for electronically disseminating products and resources developed by the National Hispanic and Latino ATTC, an organization funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA).• Coordination and maximization of technology resources for professional meetings, national conferences, advisory board meetings, taskforce meetings and webinars.• Preparation of instructional material appropriate to the needs of the National Hispanic and Latino ATTC on substance abuse prevention and addiction field.• Experience writing grant proposals to SAMHSA, integrating technology transfer services proposed projects.• Responsible for the promotion of ATTC’s products and events utilizing, among other things, social networks and marketing services.

Courses taught at the graduate level: TECH ED 6010, Examining History, Community, and Social Justice in Education and TECH ED 6020, Teacher Education, Advocacy and Leadership. Courses were taught live and online.

Worked directly with Director of the center on teaching two graduate courses, Tech Ed 6010, Examining History and Social Justice in Education and Tech Ed 6020, Educational Leadership, which are two introductory courses for Master’s candidate. Offered workshops on the anthropological nature, origin and explanation of human’s skin colors and migration patterns and how these relate to race as a social construct. Assistant to the Chair of the College of Education’s Deans Committee on Social Justice.
