As part of a BP-funded research programme, my independent thesis was entitled “A phenomenological model for end of injection fluid dynamics in diesel fuel injectors.” This was part of a larger project on non-spherical droplets and aims to characterise the fluid dynamics during, and after, the end of injection. In this effort, I was responsible for technical report writing and interpretation of large data sets. Progress and findings were presented to university leaders, peers and industry executives regularly.
