Led/supervised 4 engineers and 3 technicians.• Established technical milestones for stage-gate process and employee incentive compensation. • Performed instrumental leadership role in this successful startup company that develops and demonstrates robust exhaust gas sensors for detection of particulate matter (PMTrac®), NOx (NOxTrac®), and O2. • Worked closely with Ford (lighthouse customer) as well as other OEMs, and sensor manufacturers as part of SwRI PSPD consortium and university partners to perform sophisticated mechanistic studies and/or engine and chassis dynamometer testing. • PMTrac technology (2 issued US patents, 2 pending US patents, 6 technical publications) was licensed to a global Tier-1 automotive sensors supplier and start of production is planned for 2017. • EmiSense was purchased and is part of a new company CoorsTek Sensors that will commercialize EmiSense’s exhaust gas sensors. -
