About Joanna Carmichael, Phd, Rn, Bsn
Registered Nurse for over 30 years with 20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical research arena; Phases I-IV, all therapeutic areas. Simultaneous studies in metaphysics, divinity, Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, nutrigenomics, and alternative medicine have given me a well-rounded perspective on health and healing and its intimate relationship to spirituality. I left the pharmaceutical field in 2008 to pursue my interests and passion in Alternative Medicine/Ayurveda as I believe that the healing power within us and in nature should be the first choice when something goes wrong with our health. I understand the need for conventional medicine but believe in the mindful and minimal use of Pharmaceuticals, surgery and radiation. We have many choices in between on the spectrum of healing, and we need to be educated and well informed so we may be in balance with our choices.Founded the Kalyana Centre, Inc. in 2009 to create a collaborative of like-minded professionals that want to be part of a bigger vision of health and healing in one place. I continue to practice as a holistic nurse coach, and have worked in home healthcare providing skilled nursing services in PA and NJ. I am currently shifting the direction of my business to focus more on promoting holistic healthcare through wellness using a variety of modalities and products that I have researched and believe in. My bigger visions is to create a holistic retreat center and animal sanctuary to both educate and heal while promoting compassion for all living Beings. Specialties: Preventive Healthcare through wellness using meditation, yoga and Ayurveda, Metaphysical/spiritual counseling, past life regression therapy, Superconscious Transformational Healing, Nutrigenomics, Bach Flower Remedies, Essential Oils and quality supplements.
