An experienced social and market researcher with many years experience and a wide range of clients in the voluntary, public and private sectors, now working as hard as ever (but not getting paid for it) in a number of voluntary sector roles.Specialities: designing surveys; carrying out quantitative and qualitative analysis; facilitating focus groups and workshops; community engagement; public participation; governance of voluntary organisations.My current research: trying to understand why community engagement and public consultation projects behave in the way that they do. As part of this I have developed a new, precise and robust way to measure the efficiency of community engagement and public participation and to express it in one meaningful number.
