31 years experience of General practice. Practical experience of minor surgery and acupuncture. Have trained first, second and final year Medical Students and was working towards becoming a GP Trainer but emigrated to New Zealand in April 2014. Worked at Torbay Medical Centre, North Shore, Auckland until gained Fellowship of Royal College New Zealand GPs then moved to New Plymouth where I now work as a Sessional GP. I have an interest in skin diseases and am developing my dermoscopy skills.Have been involved in Medical IT and have been interested in Informatics and Security of Health Care Systems. Have 20 years experience of Windows systems, 20 years experience Linux systems and Familiarity Mac OSX v 10.4 onwards, all including CLI. Some working knowledge of MYSQL. Have setup Linux based systems in surgery running alongside standard NHS Windows system with encryption and RAID.
