I worked on two contracts to support FAA Next Gen. The first involved how ATC personnel interpret probabilistic weather information when making rerouting decisions due to convection. The second was providing support to the Weather Technology in the Cockpit (WTIC) program. I completed an experiment at the FAA Technical Center designed to verify and validate new weather symbols that the SAE G10W committee is considering for adoption to standardize datalinked information to the flight deck.
