Dr. Pinzone is the Chief Medical Officer at Hyperthermia Cancer Institute. Oceanview provides the services of medical specialists for Ventura County, including Ventura County Healthcare Agency that owns Ventura County Medical Center with campuses in Ventura and Santa Paula. Dr. Pinzone is on the Medical Staff at Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) and Santa Paula Hospital (SPH). Dr. Pinzone graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, then a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, where he achieved a National Research Service Award from the NIH to study pituitary tumors.In 1998, Dr. Pinzone was recruited to The George Washington University School of Medicine where he practiced and taught Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. At GW he achieved a Masters of Business Administration with honors and secured a 5-year NIH research grant to study breast cancer.In 2005, he was recruited to The Ohio State University College of Medicine where he ran a sub-specialty clinic focused on patients with diseases of the pituitary, headed a molecular biology laboratory investigating breast cancer metastases to bone, and taught Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.In 2009 Dr. Pinzone was recruited to the Hemotology/Oncology Therapeutic Area at Amgen, Inc. He served as the North American Medical Leader for Denosumab Oncology and led the Medical Affairs team that launched XGEVA®. He interfaced with the Brand Team, Regional Medical Liaisons, and oversaw the Investigator-Sponsored Study program. In 2012 Dr. Pinzone joined the Bone Therapeutic Area as Clinical Research Medical Director for Prolia®; he was clinical studies medical lead, RML educational activities and the ISS Program.Dr. Pinzone was Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 08/2012 - 11/2022.
