Dr. Joseph Wyatt Email and Phone Number

Currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the South Dakota Air National Guard 114th FW, Dr. Joseph Wyatt lives and works in Pierre, South Dakota. Previously, Dr. Wyatt spent eight years providing medical care to flight personnel and dependents while serving in various Air National Guard units. Dr. Wyatt began his service in the armed forces as a Captain in the Indiana 122nd MDS, functioning as a qualified Flight Surgeon. As a Major in the Alabama 100th FS and 187 FW, he participated in the initial overseas deployment of the RC-26 Condor and was a first-responder to Hurricane Katrina, providing medical relief and assisting in recovery efforts. For his accomplishments, the Air National Guard awarded Dr. Wyatt the Meritorious Service Medal. Before joining the military, Dr. Joseph Wyatt completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. While there, he studied biology and psychology and conducted research, which later earned him honors. Subsequently, Dr. Joseph Wyatt enrolled in the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. After two years, he transferred to the Indiana University School of Medicine, completing his Doctor of Medicine in 2002. Dr. Wyatt next served an internship in preliminary surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis, receiving a Certificate of Internship when he finished that undertaking.
