Dr JS Rajkumar fondly called as Dr. JSR, Believes in the vision " Namma Pasanga Namma Desam" meaning Inspring Youth to Empower Nation. People also call him "The Social Man".I am Dr. J. S. Rajkumar, leading as a Surgical Gastroenterologist and serving as the Chairman & Chief Surgeon at Lifeline Hospitals, Chennai. With an extensive experience spanning over 26,000 surgeries, my focus is on pioneering intricate procedures, consistently pushing the limits of medical innovation, and providing cutting-edge healthcare solutions while nurturing the growth of surgical expertise.My journey has been enriched by my roles as Chairman & Chief Surgeon at Rigid Hospitals Pvt Ltd (LIMA Keyhole Surgery) since 1997 and as a Consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology at Malar Hospitals, Chennai (1993-1997). Additionally, I have been sharing my insights as an Adjunct Professor at Tamilnadu MGR Medical University since 2014.My educational background includes an M.S. from the University of Madras, The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai (1986-1989), and an M.B.B.S. from Madras Medical College, The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai (1979-1985). During my M.B.B.S., I was honoured to receive 32 Gold Medals and the prestigious Johnstone Gold Medallist title, along with the recognition as a National Topper and an NCERT Scholar during my matriculation exam.Beyond the realm of my medical practice, my literary pursuits have led to the creation of several noteworthy works, including "Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery" (September 2015), "Scalpel Scribbles" (June 2015), "Short Cases in Surgery, Including Orthopaedics" (November 2012), "Clinical Signs in Surgery" (April 2012), and "Naveena Sigichaigal" (November 2007).My journey has also been defined by spearheading various surgical workshops and camps, making significant contributions to medical education and community healthcare. The fruits of my labour have been acknowledged through esteemed accolades, notably the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Loyola Forum for Historical Research, Chennai, etc.My unwavering commitment to the philosophy of "Fall seven times, rise eight" continues to fuel my drive to inspire the next generation to actively contribute to the progress of our nation.
