About Judith Ainsworth

I have over 20 years' experience teaching business communications and business language studies in English and French in both academic and corporate environments. My expertise in management communication, particularly business writing, speaking and presenting, enables me to prepare graduates to become the skilled communicators organisations are seeking to employ.I am a strong proponent of Team-Based Learning, a learner-centred, instructor-led active learning method that fosters individual and group accountability as small groups work together in a classroom setting to solve problems. Funded by Ashesi University, I am currently involved in an interdisciplinary research project that seeks to determine whether Team-Based Learning or Project-Based Learning is more effective in helping students develop teamwork and leadership skills and achieve successful learning outcomes in Business Administration, Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences courses.I have been a member of Zonta International (zonta.org) for over 15 years. I am currently serving as:• member of the Zonta International Excellence in Service and Advocacy Award Committee• President, Zonta Club of Kanata-Stittsville, Ontario, Canada
