Dr Junaid Syed received his PhD in wireless communication from QMW, University of London and did his Post Doc research in Queen’s University Belfast, both from the UK.Dr Junaid Syed holds 27 international issued patents , including 14 US patents and numerous patents in different countries, which are mostly used in production and being deployed globally in the wireless communication sector.Dr. Syed successfully led RF design teams for CommScope's MW antennas in the UK, USA, and China. He also managed the CommScope MW antenna business in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Additionally, Dr. Syed established  R&D centers in Suzhou & Shanghai , China,  set up global operations, and created an international business for MW antennas at Rosenberger.Dr Junaid Syed worked as member of ETSI TM4 committee for more than 10 years. He has been actively involved in FWCC/FCC, USA also to assist the development of new international regulatory standards for wireless communications.Currently, Dr. Syed is leading global R&D and operations at Curvalux as SVP,  developing radio and phase array technologies at sub-7 GHz and 5G mmWave frequencies for Fixed Wireless Access and Ground terminals for LEO.Additionally, Dr. Syed is serving as a visiting professor at Edinburgh Napier University, appointed by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE). In this role, he is focused on strengthening the relationship between the university and industry. Dr Syed is also visiting professor at Shenzhen University, China.
