With dual reporting to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students and Dean of Forbes College, serves as case manager in the residential college with a portfolio of approximately 900 undergraduate students. Meets and follows up with students around issues of alcohol concerns and transports, health and wellness matters, safety concerns, and personal and interpersonal conflicts. • Serves on the emergency response Dean on Call rotation, responding to any concerns related to medical, mental, or physical distress, for approximately 5,400 residential and non-residential undergraduate students. • Supervises and evaluates 1 full-time live in Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) and 17 paraprofessional Residential College Advisors (RCAs). • Coordinate’s efforts to assist students in personal crises and serves as the liaison between the student, their family, academic deans, and other relevant campus life offices. • Administers the formal consultation process, whereby a student is evaluated at Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) and treatment recommendations are given to the Assistant Dean for follow-up with the student. • Participates in weekly meetings with the Forbes College Dean and Assistant Dean of Studies regarding academic and non-academic support for students of concern. • Represents the college in bi-monthly case conferencing with CPS staff and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students. • Serves as the primary liaison for the residential college in family meetings where a student’s wellness is of highest concern and where continued enrollment and/or residency is under review because of health or wellness issues and negotiates on behalf of the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students (ODUS), non-academic requirements for continued enrollment or readmission. • Together with the Associate Dean, writes official communications to students regarding treatment recommendations or conditions where ODUS has placed conditions for reinstatement.
