Dr. Kate Owen is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in mental health. Since 2010, she has run a successful private practice, supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a focus on integrative systemic psychotherapy, combining neuroscience and fourth-wave therapeutic modalities.Kate leads workshops nationwide with a focus on Systemic Psychotherapy, Trauma, Anxiety, and Wellbeing. These workshops are highly regarded in both the mental health and education sectors. Kate also provides clinical supervision and mentorship to individuals and organizations, recognized as a clinical supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Association of Family Therapy. Formerly, as Co-Director of The Queensland Institute of Family Therapy (QIFT), Kate helped launch the Certificate in Systemic Family Therapy program, accredited by the Australian Association of Family Therapy, fostering excellence in systemic practice.In addition to her private practice, Kate has held academic positions at Griffith University, Bond University, and The University of Queensland’s Masters of Mental Health (Family Therapy) program.
