I have had the pleasure of giving two talks at TED.As the Chair of the Executive Board of the MIDI Association I help oversea and run the board so the organisation can do awesome things with growing and creating all things MIDI!As a member of the Editors Code of Practice Committee in the UK I help keep an eye on the standard that the UK press abides by.I describe myself as a creative scientist because we all fit in more than one box. I studied electronics and physics, these give my work structure and discipline, however my true skill is creativity. Creatively using whatever I find around me to solve any problem I encounter. My grandmother told me to 'cut your coat from the cloth at hand'. Please remind me how we met so I can accept a connection, I'm easily confused and only accept connections I think I know :)
