The Leadership Talks Podcast, hosted by me - Dr. Kate Vawter, exists to highlight the stories of business leaders. My primary objective is to give female entrepreneurs a platform to share their stories and generate content they can use to promote their businesses. My goal as the host is to create a space where guests can let their lights shine brightly.

I support Doctoral students in the Leadership and Innovation EdD program, where I teach online, in-person, and hybrid courses like Advanced Quantitative Research Methods and Mixed Method Action Research. By serving as an instructor and coach, I inspire students to work through fears relating to quantitative analysis and adopt the identity of "I am a researcher."

As Campaign Manager, I oversee all brand development, field operations, event logistics, and fundraising efforts. I lead a team of volunteers who are responsible for each of these key roles. We share the values of inclusivity, transparency, and equity for Tempe residents.

• Provide leadership and oversight in the design and delivery of student success initiatives (e.g. LEAD, GetSet, Connections, ASU 101, etc.) by working with college deans, academic unit directors, faculty members, advisors, and other college staff resulting in high implementation rates and improved student success rates.• Oversee the evaluation of each program’s effectiveness by developing goals and objectives for the program, determining improved methods of delivery, assessing evaluation methodology design, examining implementation practices, and analyzing findings which results in recommendation for future actions.• Develop and implement program policies by working with individual stakeholders to understand unique challenges and successes, and then drafting guiding policies for all practitioners to implement.

• Manage The LEAD Project professional faculty and staff by assigning individuals tasks with clear expectations, answering individual’s questions, and creating a shared sense of responsibility for each project resulting in optimal outcomes for students.• Foster and maintain partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external contractors by building report, following through with all responsibilities and maintaining open lines of communication which results in efficient and effective team work for all projects.• Identify issues for resolution by listening to team member concerns, informing the group of broad issues, and ensuring constructive discussion resulting in all issues being resolved in a timely manner.• Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, and other staff to define and identify all required project infrastructure such as facilities, equipment, technology and infrastructure ensuring timely availability for successful launch and ongoing project operations.

• Support the Senior Vice Provost and Executive Vice President and Provost by drafting correspondence, managing travel arrangements, reviewing mail, organizing meetings, and maintaining calendars which ensure each administrator has the tools and information they need to be successful in day-to-day activities.• Manage all logistical operations for the Regents' Professors selection and induction by collecting nominations, soliciting letters of support from chairs, deans, and external reviewers, organizing all nominee information for the selection committee, and collaborating with university ceremony staff to coordinate the official induction ceremony leading to the induction of multiple professors each spring.

• Organize annual 3-week conference-style training program for 80 student staff members by reserving all venue spaces, recruiting 20+ speakers and workshop leaders, and collecting/distributing all workshop materials resulting in all learning outcomes being reached at a rate of 85% or higher.• Present The Business Community information session at New Student Orientations to a total of over 2,500 students and parents by organizing a clear presentation, delivering the material in a timely fashion, and addressing the audience’s questions resulting in a reported success rate of over 90% (nearly 10% higher than other session averages).• Coordinate the 400% growth of the W. P. Carey Residential Community from 400 to 1,400 residents and from 10 to 37 student staff members by regularly meeting with both professional and student staff members, strategically planning, and executing new plans resulting in the implementation of the first year of The Business Community.
