I am the Director of the R.M. ‘Bob’ Wood Sales Leadership Center and and Assistant Professor of Marketing at Arkansas State University. I am passionate about advancing sales education and sales research as well as providing the community with corporate sales training and consulting. My research projects focus on business-to-business sales, improvisation, emotional intelligence, and the buyer-seller interaction and I have published in the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Relationship Marketing and Business Ethics: A European Review. Under my guidance, Arkansas State University’s Sales Program became a member of the prestigious University Sales Center Alliance and was recently recognized as one of top sales programs by the Sales Education Foundation. Through the Sales Leadership Center, I teach courses on Professional Sales, Sales Planning and Management, Advanced Sales, Financial Institutions Sales, Principles of Marketing, Category Management, and Graduate Strategic Marketing.I provide sales and marketing consulting and training to financial institutions throughout the Mid-South Region and to the Memphis Metro Volleyball Organization. I became a Sheth Foundation Fellow in 2013 and received a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Mississippi in May 2014. Prior to attending graduate school, I worked in banking as a management development associate and as a branch manager.
