Building on the momentum from the prior year to see another increase in enrollment for Fall 23 (+30%) and an overall increase of 164% from Fall 2019. Continuing to explore recruitment through our accelerated program, partnerships with other institutions, as well as supporting international applicants

Active faculty member at both the undergraduate and graduate levels teaching both in person and through distance education.Service oriented serving as the chair of the School's Graduate Curriculum Committee since 2017. In this role I helped lead the creation of a new MA concentration in Strategic communication as well as a number of new course offerings.

Taught Undergraduate Courses: Introduction to Health Communication, Presentational Speaking, and Fundamental Human Communication: Presentations. Served as an advisor to 15-20 undergraduate students assisting them with course selection and securing internships. Participated on a number of committees including Health Communication Concentration, Faculty Advisory Committee, Academic Unit Personnel Advisory Committee, and Search Committees.Made five conferences presentations while working at JMU: National Communication Association Conference, Kentucky Conference on Health Communication (Top Early Scholar Award), DC-Area Health Communication Conference, Southern States Communication Association Conference, and Eastern Communication Association Annual Conference

Taught Undergraduate courses: Persuasion, Public Speaking and was the Head teaching assistant for The Process of Communication where I managed 10-12 teaching assistants and was a primary contact point for the 500 students in the course.

Taught one section of Small Group Communication online.

Spent the summers of 2008 and 2009 working on a grant for the Center of Excellence for Health Communication & Marketing on a $3.8 million federal grant from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention PI: Dr. Leslie Snyder
