My goal is to apply Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to work for a fairer, more sustainable world.I have over fifteen years of leading information technology projects for social good in health, agriculture, climate change and governance in Asia, Africa and the U.K.I have just completed a Big Data Science M.Sc. at Queen Mary University with a particular focus onnatural language processing, deep learning and computer vision. I am continuing my connection withthe university as a Postdoctoral Research Visitor in Bayesian Networks - a field of machine learningwhich seeks to learn causal models from data.My formal job title at OneWorld is Chief Technology Officer at OneWorld UK, but my role is very varied which I love. My recent work ranges from overall solution design, through coding deep down in Python, PHP or Javascript, to partnering with software companies in Benin, Myanmar and Egypt to deliver locally-relevant digital tools.Before that I had a successful career in commercial computing, including at Reuters.
