He was also the recipient of the Senior Information Security Professional of the America's for Leadership (ISLA Award) by ISC^2. At Health Sciences of South Carolina (HSSC), he was responsible for SC-DHHS data for Medicare/Medicaid processing for the state of SC at Clemson. Alongside these honors, Kevin was appointed and remains a research professor and lecturer in electrical and computer engineering at Clemson University’s School of Business.He previously has served on Hook Security Co.’s Board of Directors and CISO Connect’s Distinguished CISO’s Board. In this position I served as the authoritative source for information security and privacy related matters for Clemson University. I was fortunate and humbled to be have been named the Information Security Executive of the South East and Information Security Executive of North America by the T.E.N. organization, and the recipient of the Senior Information Security Professional of the America's for Leadership (ISLA Award) by ISC^2. I was also a graduate of Educause's Leadership Institute. Along with being the security and privacy conscious of the university, operationally I was responsible for leading, guiding and directing InfoSec professionals dedicated to ensuring the security and privacy posture of a top 25 public research university supporting the following computing environments: academic, research and operational computing, high-performance/super-computing, two on-campus health care/provider facilities, hosted external partnerships, and two state-wide health care partnerships.Finally, I led an initiative to create the Cyber Security track as part of a Center of Excellence for at Clemson University, establishing a centralized focus for Information Security at Clemson University. Provided vision and leadership that culminated in the opening of a student focused Cyber Security Operations Center or SOC, a first of its kind in Higher Education.
