Consultation services also are available for training programs found out of compliance with APPIC or CoA accreditation standards. We will be offering continuing education courses, leadership coaching, and a podcast on doctoral psychology training topics and workforce development policy and programs.

Nevada is divided into five distinct behavioral health regions that are overseen by Regional Behavioral Health Policy Boards. These boards, composed of community leaders, law enforcement, healthcare and treatment providers, social services, family and peer advocates, and others, bring diverse perspectives to the table, and facilitate collaboration focused on improving the behavioral health system in Nevada. A primary goal of the Regional Behavioral Health Policy Boards is to enable stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of the behavioral health issues facing each region, allowing for more effective planning and resource distribution across the state.

The Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages provides advice and recommendations on policy and program development to the Secretary concerning the activities under Part D of Title VII of the PHS Act, which includes Area Health Education Centers, Geriatrics, Rural Health, Allied Health, Podiatry, Chiropractic, Mental and Behavioral Health, Graduate Psychology, Pain Care, and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. The ACICBL is responsible for submitting an annual report to the Secretary and Congress describing the activities of the Committee, including findings and recommendations made by the Committee concerning the activities under Part D of Title VII. In addition, the ACICBL develops, publishes, and implements performance measures and guidelines for longitudinal evaluations, as well as recommends appropriation levels for programs under this part.

As the university's clinical community behavioral health and interprofessional practice training program, ACHS provides free, in-person and telehealth, trauma-informed, prevention and intervention services within a network of 13 organizations residing in, and servicing, residents of Chicago and Vancouver’s disinvested neighborhoods. Organizations include primary and secondary schools; primary care clinics; community health centers; community mental health centers; youth afterschool programs; transitional, semi-permanent, and supportive housing for those at risk of homelessness due to mental illness and ongoing substance use; AmeriCorps programs; inpatient medical units; medical care teams; community reintegration after incarceration programs; and child welfare facilities.Core responsibilities are to develop, implement, and consistently assess a comprehensive strategy and operational framework for clinical services and training programs aimed at supporting underserved communities in Chicago, IL, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Integrate social determinants, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into experiential learning and clinical services to create a more inclusive and effective approach. Promote thought leadership and best practices in interprofessional teamwork and clinical services, outcome-focused care, and community-tailored clinical services. Model the highest ethical and legal standards in critical situations, and offer expertise in the assessment, prevention, and treatment of substance use disorders.

Portfolio encompassed institutional responsibilities for academic-community partnerships, applied learning courses (including clinical and non-clinical practica and internships), civic learning and engagement, Adlerian scholarship and practice, continuing education provider accreditation, and LGBTQ mental health and inclusion. Offered expertise and support to the Vice President of Academic Affairs in institutional initiatives to enhance curricula, integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion, develop and implement new degree programs, address student mental health and wellness, foster shared governance, ensure program and institutional accreditation, and align cross-campus policies and collaboration. Responsible for the operation of the human growth hormone (HGH) admission department. Duties included insurance verification, pre-authorization, and coordination with physicians, pharmacies, and families for distribution of HGH. Created 24-hour admission to distribution process for Lupron with Ohio branch pharmacy. Results of the improved processes resulted in over $1,000,000 in sales in one year more than triple previous years. Oversaw Y2K computer conversion for Therapeutic Services division including participation in simulations at corporate headquarters. I left this position to pursue graduate school full-time.
