I was responsible for creating a sustainable center that actively promoted and enhanced learning effectiveness by:· Systematically promote on-going faculty development (in collaboration with Faculty Personnel Committee and the Dean’s Council); · Guiding the University’s Instructional Designers, Academic Support Specialists, and faculty to create and maintain high-quality instructional materials utilizing the most current instructional design approaches and instructional technologies; · Chair the School of Education Tech Committee (this includes leading the initiative to explore meaningful implementation of AI tools to enhance both teaching and learning);· Providing support for the development and maintenance of the virtual learning environment (e.g., Blackboard and Adobe Connect);· Collaborating with the Library and Online Writing Center; and· Developing and maintaining a central repository of learning objects.With the CII in solid shape (and proudly moving forward through the vision and expertise of an outstanding team of educational technology professionals), I have proudly returned to full-time faculty where my focus on designing, building, and teaching afforded me the opportunity to build out a new Masters In Education emphasis, "Instructional Technology, Teaching the 21st Century Learner" along with Chairing the Masters of Arts in Education Curriculum Team and its 6 different emphasis degrees.
