With over 11 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, clinical research, and pharmacy leadership, Dr. Khalid Almutairi is a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He is passionate about improving patient outcomes, optimising healthcare services, and advancing the field of clinical pharmacy with innovative methods and technologies for patient care.Dr. Almutairi holds a Ph.D. in the Medical School of UWA, where he investigated the clinical and economic burden of rheumatoid arthritis in Western Australia using linked data analysis. He also holds a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Clinical Pharmacy from Curtin University. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles on pressure injuries, antimicrobial resistance, and pharmacoepidemiology. He has expertise in infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, clinical pharmacoepidemiology and is interested in precision medicine using artificial intelligence (AI). He worked as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and a Clinical Researcher at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia for seven years, where he contributed to enhancing patient safety, quality of care, and drug therapy management.
