As Chief Economist, I lead the economic analysis and forecasting efforts for the fencing industry. My role involves:Conducting comprehensive analyses of market trends and macroeconomic factors impacting fencing products.Developing and delivering accurate economic forecasts that inform strategic decision-making for industry leaders.Preparing detailed reports and presentations that communicate complex findings and actionable insights to stakeholders.Collaborating closely with industry leaders to tailor analyses to their unique challenges and opportunities.Monitoring economic trends and providing timely updates to ensure our organization stays ahead of the curve.Leveraging advanced data analysis tools to interpret complex datasets and drive informed decision-making.

This task force was charged with recommending an economic strategic plan to the local government. I visited local manufacturing sites, helped organize a community listening session, and worked in partnership with external consultants. The plan was subsequently approved and adopted.

• Created a simple method for overcoming a large curse of dimensionality problem that allowed me to estimate US-China trade war effects individually for each HS-6 digit product.• Achieved high evaluations on a graduate level statistical methods course that I designed and taught.

• Extended quasi-experimental statistical methods and discovered a new industrial policy.
