Kim Lloyd has a lifelong interest in preventative medicine and the power of optimal nutrition. She has always been a health care worker and maintains that she will always be a healthcare worker. Qualifying as a dental surgeon, she was a family dentist for 16 years. Her love for cosmetic dentistry led her into the relatively new field of aesthetic medicine – rejuvenation of the skin. She founded the Buckinghamshire based Crendon Skin Clinic. Kim firmly believes that healthy rejuvenation of the skin and indeed the whole body and mind starts from the inside – optimal nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. After meeting nutritional anthropologist Geoff Bond, the keynote speaker at a medical conference, the cooking began! She developed tasty recipes to the delight of her friends and family. With three, pizza eating, teenage sons the bar was set fairly high! She then founded Ugg Foods, resolving to make it easier for busy people to make healthier choices. Kim is now studying functional medicine with the Institute of Functional Medicine.
