Drives program improvement and innovation to strengthen the quality and outcomes of Making Waves Education Foundation’s programming, working to ensure students’ college and career success and holistic development. Lead the college and career success program, including the coaching services, financial services, and early career teams and overall strategic and operational responsibility for all college and career success program areas, serving approximately 500 students per year.

Craft and implement a strategy to lead the diffusion of human-centered design practices throughout theorganization e.g. thought-partnership and consultation, structured learning experiences with programand services teams, communication, toolkits, etcCurate a living “Equity by Human-Centered Design” toolkit for Making Waves by bringingtogether best practices from the field in a relevant, actionable way for internal team membersand to leverage with external partner engagement.• Lead and support the design and facilitation of learning experiences for MWF team membersengaged in program improvement and innovation efforts.• Collaborate with Data Specialist to ensure learning experiences and design are data-driven withrelevant and actionable data for participantsLead the program codification of Making Waves’ menu of scalable college access and success services incollaboration with Academy, Impact, and CAP staff• Serve as a cross-functional team leader to implement the program vision of the Contra CostaScalable Model. Project manage a small team of staff from across the organization to design andimplement programming – including, scoping projects with clear criteria for success; articulatingmilestones and task management; facilitating clear communication, collaboration, andcoordination; and problem-solving.• Collaborate with Director, Marketing and Storytelling to design key resources (e.g. website,videos, handbooks, checklists, etc.) to build our brand and enhance access and visibility overtime.Lead the co-creation and implementation of college access and success program models with partnerteams, customizing Making Waves’ menu of services and approach to local context, grounded in dataand student/community voice.• Scope a replicable end-to-end partnership and design process, including engagement, datareview, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing.

Design and implement coaching framework and training plans to ensure inline flow of work. Design, implement and test Salesforce community for participants and staff. Manage and maintain Salesforce database system, develop enhancements to the database, and reporting processes to ensure smooth running of operations. Design and implement training sessions for department and organization to promote organizational growth. Participate as an active leader of DEI committee to spearhead support sessions toward the betterment of DEI practices in the organization. Manage interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff members to ensure the smooth running of operations. Participated heavily in the audit of program equity practices. ● Coached, evaluated, and supported 9 college coaches, each with a caseload of approx. 80 students, to boost staff performance and productivity.● Delivered professional development sessions to strengthen staff performance and productivity.● Support senior leaders with the creation and maintenance of systems relating to people operations.● Conduct annual performance reflections and manager trainings.● Salesforce community and Signal Vine text system management.

Manage interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff members to ensure smooth running of operations. ● Recruit, hire and onboard team members● Trained, evaluated, and assessed 5 college coaches, each with a caseload of approx. 80 students, to boost staff performance and productivity.● Career readiness coordination with staff and program participants● Delivered professional development session to strengthen staff performance and productivity.● Created and maintained web-based tutorials/plan and implement webinars for program-wide use to support the development of students and completion of program requirements.

Assist in the creation and implementation of routines, oversee football and basketball games as well as school events.

Create and teach routines to groups of 20-25 students. Also plan and implement fundraising projects for the entire gym.

Work with seniors and upcoming seniors to create college lists and complete application process. Also work extensively over the summer and throughout the fall to create personal statements with students applying in the Winter. Assist with teaching college and career preparation course for students who need assistance with the transition to college.

Run daily sessions for 50-60 students, including overseeing 10-15 tutors. Conducted school outreach/teacher visits for a caseload of 15-20 students and worked with students to create and implement success plans.Supported recruitment and hiring of tutoring staff. Planned and implemented tutor onboarding and monthly trainings. Conducted annual evlauations.

Tutored groups of 5-6 students in various subjects for 3-4 hours after school and on Saturdays. Taught small group lessons in SAT vocabulary and math.
