For sensitive empaths who have survived trauma, I provide a unique mix of professional experience, therapy, refined energy healing and nervous system relaxation. Specifically for sensitive people, my unique approach can provide stability, clarity, and profound swift healing.I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Usui and Karuna Reiki ® Master with a private practice in Del Mar, California. I work with children and adults. My specialties include treating trauma and attachment issues, anxiety, PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, depression, grief/loss, stress management, mindfulness, spirituality, life transitions, personal growth, wellness and self esteem. My theoretical orientation involves an integrative approach drawing from humanistic, developmental/attachment theory, family systems and cognitive-behavioral influences. I use a holistic approach to healing that incorporates the body, mind and spirit.

Online Continuing Education course on Attachment Theory for healthcare clinicians.

Performed psychological evaluations. Provided short-term individual and group psychotherapy to in-patient clients in the intensive care, mood, geriatric, child and adolescent units. Conducted long-term individual and group psychotherapy with adult out-patient clients. Participated in weekly treatment teams for adult outpatient units at the hospital.

Short term counseling with college students. Counseling included individual, couple, family and groups. Clients ranged in age from 18 to 45. Participated in the ASPIRE program using the Advanced Motivational Interviewing and Feedback model with students mandated to therapy for alcohol related problems. Weekly drop in counseling for LGBT students, including a coming out group. Helped develop and provide a peer educator training to LGBT students. Weekly mentoring of a student in the C&PS Peer educator program. Co-facilitated a weekly Helping Professions group for students in the MFT and MSW program. Co-facilitated a group on Stress Management and provided a one-time group on Oppression. Assisted with screenings on depression and eating disorders. Weekly phone consultations were provided as well.

Provided individual therapy, including play therapy with both short and long term clients. Also worked with couples and families and conducted psychological assessments. Clients ranged in age from 4 to 45. Co-facilitated a weekly psychotherapy group, which was enhanced by a bi-monthly training in group therapy by Gil Spielberg.

Provided family therapy, as well as individual therapy with children and adolescents. Co-facilitated groups dealing with anger management, conflict resolution, self-esteem and gang prevention. Phone intakes were included as well.

Led groups on art expression, relaxation, cognitive skills, creative writing, daily living skills, anger management and self-esteem. Wrote weekly assessments and discharge summaries for children and adolescents.

Worked in a kindergarten classroom helping children learn how to read and write. Encouraged their abilities, promoting their self-esteem, and helping them to learn empathy for each other. Worked with a diverse group of children in their academic, social, behavioral, and emotional development.
