Dr. Abbott has been recognized on three occasions as Faculty –of-the Year for two universities. Previously, he managed the Management and Business Competencies Department of Training and Development and was program director for University Partnerships for Lockheed Martin Aeronautic Company in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Abbott received a doctorate in Adult Education from Texas A&M University. He achieved the ranking of Certified Manager (CM) from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers at James Madison University. From the National Management Association, he has received the 500 Hour Certificate of Advanced Management Studies, The 200 Hour Certificate of Advanced Management Studies, and the 100 Hour Certificate in Management Instruction for Advanced Management Studies. His work reflects over 30 years of management experience in fields ranging from supervision, education, training curriculum development, instructional design, to employee involvement, with emphasis in organization, leadership, project implementation and project management. He has over 85 published academic articles.
