Dr. Levent Kurt (PhD) is an assistant professor and head of department at Istanbul Kent University's Department of Psychology. After graduating from Bogazici University's Department of Psychological Counseling (B.A. Program), he completed his master's degree in Applied Psychology and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is a licensed family and couple therapist who completed his training at IFTI Psychotherapy Institute which is acceditated by European Family Therapy Association (EFTA). He completed various training programs such as addiction counseling training by Prof. Kultegin Ogel and Moodist Hospital; basic and advanced transactional Analysis training by Turkish Transactional Analysis Association; Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies for Children and Adolescents by Dr. Maria Ceu Salvador, Neuropsychopedagogical Evaluation Training by Dr. Tamer Ergin and Solution Focused Psychotherapy Training by Dr. Nevin Dolek. Throughout his professional development, he has received supervisions in various psychotherapy schools such as psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies, systemic and dynamic couple and family therapy.In line with the scientist practitioner model, Dr. Levent Kurt is conducting research mainly focusing on relationship satisfaction and psychological wellbeing of couples, addictions and their impact on psychological functioning and change mechanisms at the psychotherapy. Moreover, he is teaching abnormal psychology, psychopathology, developmental psychology and artificial intelligence and psychology courses at Istanbul Kent University's Psychology Department. Lastly, with over 16 years of field experience, Dr. Levent Kurt offers supervision for the psychotherapists all over the world and also supports clients to improve their psychological well-being as a licensed psychotherapist at the psychotherapy center he founded in Tekirdag / Çorlu, Turkiye. He works in Turkish and English languages.He is a member of Bogaziçi University Alumni Association (BUMED) and Turkish Couple and Family Therapy Association (ÇATED).
