Upon establishing a private practice, Dr. Long has largely dedicated her expertise to family law evaluations, placing particular emphasis on parental fitness assessments. She carried out roughly 140 parental fitness evaluations for courts nationally and conducted approximately 300 forensic psychological evaluations at the request of agencies such as the DOJ, DJJ, DOD, DSS, and CPS. Before honing her focus to family law and immigration matters, Dr. Long provided psychological services to the Department of Defense at Camp As-Sayliyah, Doha, Qatar, and the RAF Croughton 422 Medical Squadron in the United Kingdom. Additionally, her experience as a forensic psychologist at a maximum-security Forensic Psychiatric State Hospital involved evaluating a range of psychiatric disorders and testifying on psycholegal questions including, involuntary commitments, trial competency evaluations, criminal responsibility, and risk assessments.
