I have a PhD in Psychology from Walden University and an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia. I specialize in assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health. I have a strong background in conducting psychotherapy, providing trauma-informed care, and utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and EMDR. My experiences include individual, couple, and family counseling. I also provide individual and group substance use disorder counseling. I have four years of higher education experience as an adjunct professor and assistant professor, developing lesson plans and teaching graduate-level clinical counseling courses. I also have five years of grade K-12 teaching experience. I am confident that I am the ideal candidate for this position. My research experiences include both qualitative and quantitative research. For my dissertation, I used focus groups to obtain data. As part of my graduate studies, I conducted quantitative research using datasets. I have experience with MAXQDA and SPSS.In addition to my career and academic qualifications, I possess strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. I am experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, Teams, and electronic health records. I am also skilled in the use of Blackboard, Canva, Big Blue Button, and Zoom.
