As a highly accomplished Nurse and Instructor, I design and deliver nursing courses while supporting students in achieving their academic goals. I routinely evaluate programs to create strategies to improve instructional delivery, student retention, and learning outcomes. Simultaneously, I promote quality patient care during clinicals, enabling student nurses to meet/exceed expectations while complying with all applicable regulations.I was hired at Augusta University Medical Center in 2000 as an LPN and advanced through positions of increasing scope and accountability while earning my RN (CMSRN) and Master’s degree. Earlier this year, I completed my DNP at Walden University. During this time, I assumed a Charge Nurse role, training, developing, and coaching staff in quality patient care. My achievements include:✓Organized group conferences to assist students at Augusta University in sharing clinical experiences; continuously provides coaching and feedback to nursing students, working to achieve optimal quality of care to learning outcomes.✓Consulted department chair at Augusta Technical College for development of program institutional effectiveness (IE) and systematic evaluation plans, budget, and Performance Accountability System (PAS) report.✓Invited to speak on fall prevention education at the Nurse Resident Program in 2019 and Alteration in Hematological Function (Anemia) for BSN Students in 2018 at Augusta University. I am currently interested in expanding my teaching experience by transitioning to online instruction. I have taught at several schools to date, including delivering courses at the College of Nursing at Augusta University, Augusta Technical College, and Aiken Technical College.
