As an Integrative Medical Practitioner, and advocate for Environment and Social Justice, I work with environmental illness. I have been passionate and dedicated to the Climate Change issue for over 30 years, presenting at medical and community meetings in an effort to create awareness of Climate Change as the greatest public health issue of our time. Worked as ship medic and activist with Greenpeace International, and after action in Baltic Sea resulting in imprisonment with 3 others, saw new legislation created to protect ocean waters in that area. Have worked with environmental groups as an activist from the 70s including Women's Peace Movement, Paddlers for Peace, Total Environment Centre, particularly in the area of Toxic Chemicals and Climate Change. Worked in the early days of the first Feminist Women’s Health Centre in Australia and was one of the founding members of the Australian Lesbian Medical Association and part of its 7 year commitment to gain special consultative status with ECOSOC as part of the United Nations.As a member of the Australian Federation of Medical Women and Doctors for the Environment Australia, she is currently Convener of the International Issues and Human Rights subcommittee of ALMA and the chair of ALMA Climate group, advocating for Climate Change Action, LGBTQI+ Human Rights including Refugee issues, and Climate Justice.
