This involved taking the Government to judicial review over their decision to downgrade and in effect close our hospital. We won the JR and when the Government appealed we won the appeal! The highlight of the campaign was a demonstration of 25,000 people in Lewisham 26 January 2013.I was elected to BMA Council because of my campaigning activate against the Health and Social Care Bill. (unsuccessful unfortunately).I am on the executive of the National Health Action Party, set up in 2012 to oppose the privatisation and running down of the NHS.
